Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in New Era, MI

Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral/systemic health status. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies. Take Intraoral photos and radiographs along with performing diagnostic tests and collecting data to aide in a diagnosis. Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans. Discuss treatment plans with patients and answer questions. Collaborate and communicate with other team members to aide in the delivery of exceptional patient care. Administer local anesthetic and nitrous oxide under dentist's supervision. Support infection control procedures by sterilizing instruments following OSHA guidelines. Follow HIPPA guidlines. Attend CE to stay updated with advances in your profession. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental cleanings and assessments. Radiology, local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification. Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for charting, scheduling, and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards. Excellent communication skills for patient care, education, and team collaboration.
