Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Warren, MI
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment. This role requires proficiency in various dental software and techniques, as well as a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to deliver exceptional service in both general and pediatric dentistry settings. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care Assist with chairside procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow during treatments Utilize Eaglesoft and Dentrix software for patient documentation and record management Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety Keep accurate medical records and documentation review for each patient visit Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care in pediatric dentistry. Requirements Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred Knowledge of general dentistry practices, pediatric dentistry, and four-handed dentistry techniques Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology Strong skills in patient care, assessment, and documentation review Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide compassionate care Proficiency in using dental software systems.
