Location: Brighton, MI 48116 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient assessment techniques. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral health and ensuring a comfortable experience during their visits. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Assess patient oral health through comprehensive evaluations, including vital signs and medical history review. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient documentation and record-keeping. Assist with chairside procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Conduct medical imaging as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards. Maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care and treatment outcomes. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices, including aseptic techniques and anatomy knowledge. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Proficiency in EMR systems and documentation review processes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively educate patients about their oral health. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
