Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Support front desk duties as needed by acting as a dental receptionistâscheduling appointments, updating medical histories, and answering phones Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential recognized by state licensing boards. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry setting. Familiarity with Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques. Skilled in taking X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scanning procedures. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all agesâincluding pediatricsâand team members.
