Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Fremont, NE

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is preferred, along with knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. A background in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or general dentistry will be advantageous. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining a sterile environment, managing medical records, and supporting both clinical and administrative functions. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Assist dentists during various procedures including chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort Record vital signs and medical history accurately using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Manage dental imaging including 3D scanners and other medical imaging devices Maintain comprehensive medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide patient education on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed Support the dental team with tasks related to pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or general dentistry procedures Ensure the clinical environment adheres to safety standards related to anatomy knowledge and infection control practices Qualifications Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; familiarity with medical coding is a plus Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Certification or training in X-ray technology for intraoral and extraoral imaging Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures including pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Flexibility to adapt to different dental specialties such as endodontics or general dentistry This position provides an engaging opportunity for qualified individuals passionate about delivering high-quality dental care while supporting the overall health and well-being of patients.
