Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional patient care, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Prior experience with dental software and procedures is preferred, but comprehensive training will be provided. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort Monitor vital signs and medical imaging as needed during appointments Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control standards Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing medical records Skills Proficiency with dental software systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for medical documentation and records management Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Experience with X-ray procedures, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging technologies Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles and providing care for pediatric patients Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in general dentistry settings as well as specialized fields like endodontics and prosthodontics Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages including pediatrics Ability to work collaboratively within a team of dental professionals while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety This position is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to grow their expertise in the dental field while contributing to a positive patient experience. Prior experience in dental assisting or related healthcare settings is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided to ensure success in this role.
