Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence includingdental scanning. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment specializing in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, crown restorations and endodontics. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and the use of various dental software systems. Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and 3D scanners is highly desirable. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials while maintaining aseptic techniques. Take digital radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records accurately. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures. Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions. Maintain infection control standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines of the office. Assist with medical imaging procedures including 3D scanning when applicable. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical records related to dental care. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to anatomy and dental i struments knowledge, and infection prevention. Qualifications Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or certification required. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting procedures. Familiarity with dental software systems. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Strong understanding of dental terminology. Experience with digital xrays and intra oral scanners preferred. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining professionalism and compassion for patients of all ages. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about oral health care practices.
