Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team by ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional care to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Experience Proficiency in dental terminology related to dentistry. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with dental imaging processes and X-Ray technology. Previous experience in a dental assisting role is required; willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Experience with I-Tero Scanning is required Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general and cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, Invisalign and pediatrics. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Take digital dental X-rays, ensuring adherence to safety standards and HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix Ascend dental software. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks as needed. Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
