Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Chicago, IL

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care in a friendly and efficient environment. As a Dental Assistant, you will support the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and assist with various clinical tasks. Your expertise in dental terminology and familiarity with dental software will be essential in maintaining our clinic's high standards. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Take dental radiographs using medical imaging techniques, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Utilize 3D scanners for capturing accurate impressions as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix and Epic software, ensuring all documentation is HIPAA compliant. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to promote better health outcomes. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the clinic. Assist in prosthodontics procedures by preparing materials and providing chairside support. Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential for effective communication within the team. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable. Proficiency in using 3D scanners, medical imaging equipment, and dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and compliance within the clinic.
