Job Summary We are seeking an experience and fun Dental Assistant to join our growing and dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience. This position involves working closely with the dentist, performing various clinical tasks, and assisting in the management of patient records and appointments. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Manage patient records , ensuring accurate medical documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Conduct preliminary assessments, including taking vital signs and gathering dental history information from patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, providing compassionate care to younger patients. Collaborate with the dental admins to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are sterilized and ready for use. Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Experience with digital dentistry (iTero or other scanners, CBCT) is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental specialties including general dentistry, endodontics, and pediatrics. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques in a dental environment. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
