Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Office Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental office settings and demonstrate exceptional skills in dental insurance verification, patient interaction, dental claim submission, treatment planning, claim denials and appeals and administrative support. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice, providing excellent patient care, and maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups to optimize office workflow. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the financial management of the practice, including billing, collections, and insurance verification. Oversee the daily operations of the dental office, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for patients. Provide administrative support such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and handling inquiries from patients. Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems Open Dental for managing patient information effectively. Assist with human resources functions including staff scheduling and training new employees as needed. Stay updated on medical terminology and dental procedures to provide accurate information to patients. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or medical office setting is preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, billing practices, and insurance processes. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Knowledge of fiscal management practices including budgeting and financial reporting is desirable. Experience in supervising staff or managing clinic operations is an advantage. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in healthcare management.
