Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics and periodontics, by providing chairside support and managing dental materials Taking dental X-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures are followed Manage patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Dentrix, while HIPAA compliance for confidentiality Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments in collaboration with medical professionals Experience Prior experience working in a dental environment Familiarity with EMR systems like, Dentrix, Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures ensures a safe clinical environment Hands-on experience with chairside assisting across various specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, general dentistry and periodontics.
