Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Anaheim, CA
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in our newly open dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental professionals by providing excellent patient care, assisting with various procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This role requires a strong understanding of dental practices as this is a new location, to enhance patient experiences. Duties Assist dentists during procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support. Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and medical documentation. Manage patient records using Open Dental and DTX Imaging Software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Educate patients on post-operative care and general oral hygiene practices. Schedule appointments and manage the flow of patients within the clinic as a dental receptionist when needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental office in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care. Requirements Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred. Knowledge of endodontics and anatomy is a plus. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes. Proficiency in using Open Dental practice management software is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.
