Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper patient positioning and safety measures. Record vital signs and medical history accurately in electronic medical records Manage patient flow efficiently by greeting patients, updating medical documentation, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance procedure efficiency. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-care instructions, and oral health maintenance. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to ensure precise documentation. Support infection control practices and maintain a sterile environment in accordance with industry standards. Travel between multiple clinics as required to support team needs and ensure consistent patient care. Skills Experience with dental imaging including X-ray techniques and 3D scanners. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for patient confidentiality. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Skilled in chairside assisting with expertise in four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and pediatric patient management. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and support infection control protocols effectively. Experience working in general dentistry settings with a focus on aseptic technique and medical documentation accuracy. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients and team members across various clinics.
