Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining strict infection control protocols Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies Review documentation, assist with medical coding, and ensure proper documentation of all patient interactions Support pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a friendly environment for young patients and applying specialized techniques Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, charting, and record management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices to ensure safety and accuracy Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for efficient documentation review and data entry Ability to perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique during various dental procedures Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles to effectively care for young patients Excellent patient care skills with a focus on education, comfort, and building trust Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and medical imaging procedures Understanding of HIPAA compliance standards to protect patient confidentiality Join our team if you are eager to bring energy, expertise, and compassion into every patient interaction!
