Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a warm, skilled, and reliable Registered Dental Hygienist to join our highly respected periodontal office in Beverly Hills. Duties

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth
• Assess patient oral health and document findings in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Assist in the administration of local anesthesia and other necessary treatments
• Conduct vital signs monitoring and review medical history for each patient
• Utilize dental terminology accurately during patient interactions and documentation
• Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques during procedures
• Collaborate with the dental team in four-handed dentistry to enhance patient care efficiency
• Keep abreast of current dental practices, including medical imaging techniques and documentation review

Requirements

• Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice
• Experience with Dentrix software preferred but not required
• Familiarity with general dentistry practices and dental terminology is essential
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practices
• Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and provide compassionate patient care
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation of medical records
• Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is beneficial
