Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and other staff to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical records and documenting patient histories. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral health. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff. Assist in the management of patient care systems, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Collaborate with dentists in treatment planning and provide assistance during procedures as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the treatment area, adhering to infection control protocols. Utilize Eaglesoft software for documentation and patient management. Qualifications Valid dental hygiene license in accordance with state regulations. Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology is preferred. Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems is a plus. Strong skills in patient assessment, documentation review, and patient care practices. Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not required. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively. Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
