Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support overall patient health and comfort. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, infection control, and patient assessment, with a focus on delivering high-quality dental hygiene services in a fast-paced clinical environment. Duties Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Assist with medical imaging procedures including X-rays while maintaining proper infection control protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions Review and update medical records ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations Conduct patient assessments to identify oral health issues and recommend appropriate treatments Maintain aseptic techniques during all clinical procedures to prevent infection Document treatment notes accurately in EMR systems and review documentation for completeness Follow all dental office policies regarding infection control, medical coding, and documentation review Skills Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling, records management, and billing Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards Experience in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, or both preferred Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health practices Prior experience working in dental clinics or dental offices is highly desirable This position offers an engaging opportunity for a qualified Dental Hygienist committed to providing outstanding patient care while supporting the smooth operation of our dental practice.
