Registered Dental Hygienist - Stonebrook Dental - Sacramento, CA

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice for Monday and Tuesday. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patient oral health. Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. Document patient treatment plans and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in the management of infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Utilize dental software systems, such as Dentrix/Open Dental, for scheduling and record-keeping. Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Minimum Requirements: · Associates or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene. · Current California RDH license. · Current basic life support (CPR) certification · Current X-ray license. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health. Proficiency in infection control procedures and aseptic techniques. Understanding of medical coding as it pertains to dental procedures. Previous experience in dental assisting is beneficial but not required. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with dental office systems and software, particularly Dentrix.
