Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team in providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, with experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the oral health of our patients while adhering to strict infection control protocols and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing using appropriate techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist dentists during examinations and procedures through chairside assisting. Utilize EMR systems for documentation review and maintain accurate medical records. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care. Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices, including medical imaging. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting, with knowledge of Eaglesoft or Dentrix software preferred. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Knowledge of medical coding, anatomy, and medical terminology is beneficial. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is desirable. Certification in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program is required. Current state licensure to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
