Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their visits. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and best practices in both pediatric and general dentistry. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene. Our office has been established since 1948 in North Park. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist during procedures. Review and document patient medical histories, including any relevant dental terminology. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary recommendations, and preventive care. Conduct periodontal assessments and implement appropriate treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures, providing a comforting environment for younger patients. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy. Experience with documentation review and patient record management. Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism. Excellent communication skills, particularly in educating patients about their oral health.
