Our office is looking to add a friendly, personable and competent Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are in the process of growing & need another hygienist that will grow with our practice. Our patients range in age from the young to young at heart. If you are energetic, a team player and need a great team to join.... We are the ones!!! We are technically up-to-date, not a DSO. (This is not Corporate dentistry) Management software: Dentrix Part-time -- Tuesdays (8-5 or 10-7) and Fridays 8-5 Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist with medical imaging procedures such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records using Dentrix. Support general dentistry procedures through chairside assisting, including preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments following aseptic techniques. Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized care plans for pediatric and adult patients. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a safe clinical environment. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, including medical coding when necessary. Uphold all HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and privacy. Skills Proficiency with dental software Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and utilize medical imaging equipment effectively. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to patient education and comfort. Familiarity with infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes. Knowledge of medical records management, documentation review, medical coding, and EMR systems. Previous experience in dental office or clinic settings is highly desirable.
