Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while adhering to safety protocols such as HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using Dentrix ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, dental charts, and treatment plans. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions, supporting comprehensive care delivery. Support front desk operations by assisting the dental receptionist with appointment scheduling and patient communication when needed. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge to effectively communicate with team members and patients. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection control standards and OSHA guidelines. Participate in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize efficiency during procedures. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification. Proven experience in dental assisting. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols. Familiarity with Dentrix is preferred. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
