Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as proficiency in using dental software and equipment. The Dental Assistant will ensure that the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to a positive experience for our patients. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Manage patient appointments and assist with scheduling as needed, including pediatric dentistry cases. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. Conduct preliminary assessments including taking vital signs and medical history. Operate electronic medical record using open dental And Eva soft. Taking alginates and pouring stone models And other light lab worka. Support the dental receptionist with administrative tasks as required. Qualifications Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar healthcare setting is preferred. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures is essential. Understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures in a clinical environment. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatrics is a plus. Ability to perform medical documentation accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is advantageous but not mandatory.
