Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Enfield, CT

Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies - Take dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, night guards, and taking impressions - Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental procedures or surgery - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation as necessary Experience: - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant preferred - Proficient in dental assisting techniques, including aseptic technique, patient assessment, and dental receptionist duties - Must be radiology certified - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality Skills: - Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism - Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
