Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our dental team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary liaison between patients and providers, ensuring seamless communication, accurate documentation, and efficient management of treatment plans. Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for patients, providing outstanding customer service via phone, email, and in person while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and professionalism. Verify insurance coverage and benefits Review and update patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations and health information management standards. Assist patients with appointment scheduling, treatment plan explanations, and intake procedures using clinic management software Dentrix. Coordinate with clinical staff to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs while maintaining detailed documentation review for accuracy. Conduct insurance verification procedures accurately to confirm coverage details prior to treatment or procedures. Maintain organized filing systems for medical records, insurance documents, and administrative files; ensure all documentation adheres to HIPAA standards. Support front desk operations by handling multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments efficiently, and managing patient flow within the clinic environment. Assist with office management tasks Collaborate effectively by understanding dental terminology Uphold high standards of patient service by demonstrating professionalism in all interactions and ensuring a positive experience for every patient. Requirements Experience with Dentrix is a plus Knowledge of dental coding Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to health information management and patient privacy protections. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and record keeping. Exceptional customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette; ability to manage front desk duties confidently. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy under pressure. Prior dental office experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
