Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Kissimmee, FL

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including medical documentation and handling medical records. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Perform sterilization of instruments and adhere to aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to young patients, ensuring their comfort during visits. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when required, assisting in prosthodontics or endodontics procedures. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential. Experience with chairside assisting techniques and medical imaging is advantageous. Ability to take X-rays and manage pediatric patients effectively is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and coding practices. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory.
