Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Perform basic laboratory tasks as needed, including making impressions and preparing dental materials. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft. Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and work areas in compliance with health regulations. Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up calls to ensure patient satisfaction. Skills Proficiency in general dentistry practices with a solid understanding of medical terminology. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft. Ability to take accurate vital signs and understand basic anatomy knowledge related to dental health. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical documentation. Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.
