Part-time Registered Dental Hygienist Opportunity - Townesquare Dental - Rigby, ID

*ABOVE AVERAGE COMPENSATION* Every other Monday 8:00 am-5:00 pm with a one hour lunch Every Tuesday 8:00 am-5:00 pm with a one hour lunch Job Summary We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing dental team! As a key member of our practice, you’ll work closely with our dentists to provide exceptional care. Key responsibilities include: Clinical procedures: Scaling and polishing teeth, removing plaque and tartar, taking dental x-rays, applying topical fluoride and sealants Patient assessment: Reviewing medical history, conducting oral cancer screenings, assessing periodontal health Patient education: Teaching proper brushing and flossing techniques, discussing dietary habits and oral hygiene practices Documentation: Recording treatment details, charting findings, and updating patient records Infection control: Maintaining a sterile work environment, following proper sterilization protocols Communication: Collaborating with dentists, discussing treatment plans with patients, addressing concerns Required Qualifications for an RDH: Completion from an accredited dental hygiene program, passing a national licensing exam. Has a current Idaho State RDH license Experience: Previous experience in a dental setting is a plus. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a bonus. Familiarity with Eaglesoft dental software is helpful. A genuine passion for patient care, with excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach.
