Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Tucson, AZ
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting our dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, utilizing electronic health record systems such as Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment schedules and coordinate patient flow within the clinic. Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care. Qualifications Minimum 2 year experience as a Dental Assistant Knowledge of infection control procedures and medical terminology is essential. Knowing how to take FMX efficiently, taking PANO and CBCT, and using intraoral scanner Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
