We are a general dentist and orthodontic office. Our Dental assistant's here have been with the company for 10+ years. Looking for someone who wants to grow in the business and a team player. We pride ourselves on empowering our team members to succeed and providing the right tools do so! We are looking for a Dental Assistant to join our Hygiene team and provide quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, including chairside assisting, taking x-rays, sterilizing instruments, and providing patient education. The successful candidate will also be comfortable with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, filing paperwork, and managing patient records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about dentistry and enjoys working with patients. Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments. Maintain patient records and assist with scheduling appointments. Provide patient education on dental hygiene and preventive care. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment. Assist with laboratory procedures such as taking impressions, pouring casts, and fabricating temporary crowns. Take X-rays of teeth and jaws. Keep the dental office clean and organized. Position Description Summary: Responsible for helping the dentists, orthodontists and hygienists with dental procedures and making the patients experience a comfortable one. Essential Functions of the Position: Assists dentists, orthodontist and hygienists with procedures Sets up treatment rooms Dental charting Dental x-rays Dental photos and scans Maintains a safe work environment and operates within OSHA/MIOSHA guidelines. Education/Experience Minimum 1 year experience in dental assisting preferred. Experience with Open Dental a plus!
