Job Summary
Excel Orthodontics is seeking an experienced and relationship driven Account Manager to support our customers through ongoing engagement, education, and customer success initiatives. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong partnerships with orthodontic practices by understanding their needs, providing support, and serving as a trusted liaison between customers and internal teams.
The ideal candidate has orthodontic office experience, enjoys building relationships, and is comfortable traveling to visit customers in person as well as engaging virtually.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain and manage a list of key clients and prospective customers within the assigned region

Visit current and potential customers through in person, phone, and virtual meetings to gather feedback, preferences, and opportunities for improved customer support

Proactively initiate contact with new and emerging customers, including providing company introductions and available resources

Coordinate and schedule Client Portal training between customers and the Customer Support Administrator

Meet with new clients on a regular basis to collect feedback and share insights with appropriate internal managers

Introduce new products and promotions to orthodontic doctors as appropriate

Partner with production managers to follow up on customer issues and support resolution efforts

Assist with marketing initiatives as requested

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required

General knowledge of orthodontic appliances and their function

Minimum of two years of orthodontic office experience

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required

Working Conditions
This role is often performed remotely while traveling to customer locations. The position regularly uses standard office equipment including computers, phones, and printers or scanners. Significant time is spent traveling and visiting orthodontic practices.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. Employees are expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Start times may vary based on doctor scheduling but are generally between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Travel
Up to 30 percent travel is required.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear and frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and arms, and move about various facilities. Light physical effort is required, including repetitive hand movements and the ability to lift or maneuver up to 35 pounds.
