Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Tooele, UT

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Office Receptionist/Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient organizer at the front desk, ensuring smooth daily operations while providing exceptional patient service. This position also offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while assisting the doctor in operative/chairside dental treatment for our patients ranging from 1 to 18 years of age. The job will require employee be cross-trained to work the front desk or assist chairside depending on the need for that day. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate patient intake processes with professionalism and enthusiasm Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software Verify insurance benefits, perform insurance claims submissions, and follow up on outstanding payments Handle multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette; answer inquiries promptly and direct calls appropriately Maintain accurate medical records by updating patient information, reviewing documentation for completeness, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform clerical tasks including filing, data entry (10 key typing), and managing electronic health information efficiently Ensure a clean, organized front desk environment while providing excellent customer service to patients from diverse backgrounds Assist in open bay with x-rays, prophy's, fluoride applications, charting, sterilization and ordering. Qualifications Proven experience in a dental office with strong knowledge of dental terminology and billing practices Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and electronic health record management software Excellent communication skills with a professional phone manner; bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Previous experience is advantageous; office experience should demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Join us in delivering outstanding dental care through exceptional organization and compassionate service!
