Patient Communication & Experience Job Summary Dallas Periodontal Associates is seeking a high-energy, patient-focused, and sales-minded Hybrid Treatment Coordinator / Scheduling Coordinator to join our growing periodontal practice. This role blends patient education and case acceptance with expert scheduling and front-desk coordination to ensure an exceptional patient experience from first contact through treatment completion. Fluency in English and Spanish is REQUIRED. Candidates who are not bilingual will not be considered. The ideal candidate is confident, compassionate, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while helping patients say âyesâ to needed periodontal care. Duties Treatment Coordination & Case Acceptance Present periodontal treatment plans clearly and confidently, ensuring patients understand recommended care and next step Scheduling & Front Desk Operations Manage and optimize the daily and weekly schedule to support production goals Schedule new and existing patients efficiently, including periodontal, surgical, and maintenance appointments Handle schedule changes, cancellations, no-shows, and walk-ins effectively Greet patients, manage check-ins/check-outs, and provide a warm first impression Answer phones, screen calls, take messages, and assist referral offices Handle scheduling objections and explain provider availability clearly Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and referring offices Communicate professionally with patients, team members, and referral partners Assist patients with appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-ups Manage emergency scheduling needs calmly and efficiently Administrative & Team Support Maintain accurate patient records and update patient statuses in the system Prepare daily reports and assist with morning meetings Coordinate with financial team members regarding patient payments and next steps Process payments and issue receipts as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment Participate actively in team meetings and support a positive workplace culture Perform other duties as assigned by the doctor or practice manager Educate patients on procedures, benefits, timelines, and expectations in both English and Spanish Build value around treatment and guide patients toward acceptance of care Address patient questions and objections with empathy and professionalism Coordinate with the doctor and clinical team to support case flow and production goals Follow up with patients who are undecided or have postponed treatment Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish (REQUIRED) Teachability and openness to coaching and growth Prior experience in dentistry or a dental specialty practice (periodontics preferred) Strong sales, case presentation, and patient communication skills Confident, positive, and energetic personality Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with computers, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office (or willingness to learn) Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help wherever needed Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental or specialty practice presenting treatment plans Benefits Competitive compensation Additional benefits discussed during the interview process Why Join Dallas Periodontal Associates?
