Part Time Dental Assistant - Capital Children's Dental Center - Encino, CA

Encino Children’s Surgery Center is seeking a Dental Assistant who is excited to grow in a fast-paced pediatric surgical environment. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dentists and clinical team to deliver high-quality care to our young patients. Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, taking and developing x-rays, maintaining accurate records, and supporting administrative tasks as needed. This position reports directly to the Nurse Manager. Key Responsibilities Assist dentists during procedures by preparing patients, setting up equipment, and providing necessary instruments. Take and develop dental x-rays as directed. Prepare, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control standards. Educate patients and families on proper dental hygiene and post-procedure care. Accurately record and update patient information in dental records. Support front-office operations including scheduling appointments and answering phones. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment. Manage inventory and assist with ordering dental supplies. Perform additional duties as assigned by the dentist or Nurse Manager. Qualifications Dental Assistant Certification/Licensure. Active Radiology/X-ray license. Active BLS certification. Ability to obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire. Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials. Understanding of infection control standards and protocols. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
