Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Practice Web / Open Dental, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging when necessary to support comprehensive patient care Provide excellent dental receptionist support by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing patient flow efficiently Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote ongoing health Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure Proven experience working in a general dentistry or pediatric dentistry setting with familiarity in dental assisting procedures Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental or Practice Web; experience with Carestream or similar medical documentation platforms is a plus Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures Ability to operate dental equipment including 3D scanners, medical imaging devices, and X-ray machines safely and effectively Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate recordkeeping Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and other clinical staff Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient privacy Join us in delivering exceptional dental care through your expertise and enthusiasm!
