Dental Hygienist - Bakar Family Dental - Albany, NY

Overview We are seeking a kind, detail oriented Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. This position is open for people looking for part time, full time or even looking to just pick up a few days at a time. The hours and days are flexible. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for compassionate patient care. Duties Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth in accordance with established protocols Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories Updating periodontal charts Take panoramic and intraoral radiographs as needed, as well as intraoral photographs as needed Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care tailored to individual needs Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records using Eaglesoft Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe environment Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy Stay current with dental terminology, medical coding, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and quality care Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in NY state Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or willingness to learn Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control, and aseptic techniques Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to all age groups Ability to take panoramic and intraoral radiographs Knowledge of HIPAA regulations concerning patient privacy and data security Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary Pay: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 – 28.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Flexible schedule Paid time off Work Location: In person
