Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Assistant Lead to join our dynamic dental practice. In this leadership role, you will oversee the clinical operations of our dental team, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinical excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with expertise in general dentistry & various dental specialties. You will be responsible for training staff, managing patient flow, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Train and mentor staff on best practices in chairside assisting, infection control, and aseptic techniques. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation and records. Perform clinical duties including taking vital signs, conducting X-ray imaging, and utilizing 3D scanners as needed. Collaborate with dentists on treatment plans in areas such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols. Assist in the development of office policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in dental assisting with a focus on general & cosmetic dentistry preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems including Open Dental, or Epic is highly desirable. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and infection control practices is essential. Experience with chairside assisting techniques and four-handed dentistry is required. Strong understanding of general dentistry principles is a plus. Ability to perform medical imaging procedures and manage medical records effectively. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and team collaboration. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
