Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a friendly atmosphere from the moment they walk through the door Manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize daily workflows Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including insurance verification for dental plans and Medicare, ensuring accurate billing processes Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently, including collecting co-pays and updating patient records in EMR systems like Meditech or eClinicalWorks Maintain accurate medical and dental records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Facilitate communication between patients and clinical staff by answering multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette and providing clear information about treatment plans or billing inquiries Support medical administrative functions such as filing, data entry, medical coding (CPT, ICD-10), and documentation review to ensure precise recordkeeping Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting with strong familiarity with clinic operations and front desk responsibilities Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with EMR systems like Epic or Meditech is highly desirable Knowledge of medical billing, coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), insurance verification processes, and health information management standards including HIPAA compliance Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and typing accuracy (10 key typing) for efficient documentation and data entry Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Exceptional customer service skills paired with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Previous experience in dental clinic or healthcare office management is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and office equipment such as multi-line phone systems is advantageous Join us to be part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering outstanding patient care!
