Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support our dental practice by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with various dental procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Record patient medical history, vital signs, and any relevant information using electronic health record systems such as Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care, particularly in pediatrics. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilization of instruments and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient office operations. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred. Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding medical imaging techniques. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records and office systems. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, parents, and team members. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is a plus but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right candidate.
