Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong foundation in dental assisting practices. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatrics. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized according to aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Manage patient records by performing medical documentation accurately and efficiently. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Sterilize instruments and equipment following established protocols to ensure patient safety. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including medical coding for insurance purposes. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and equipment is essential. Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry practices is advantageous. Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of medical documentation processes. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and staff. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is a plus.
