Part-Time Dental Hygienist – Community & Contract Care Maine Oral Health & Wellness (MOHW) Bangor–Brewer–Augusta Region | 1–3 days/week (with opportunity to grow) Maine Oral Health & Wellness (MOHW) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit delivering high-quality, preventive oral healthcare through structured program contracts with schools, rehabilitation centers, and community organizations across Maine. We’re seeking a clinically confident, professional dental hygienist to support our program-based care in the Bangor–Brewer–Augusta region. This role is ideal for someone who: Is solid in foundational dental hygiene and patient care Values professionalism, responsibility, and follow-through Works well independently within clearly defined systems Cares deeply about community health, access, and continuity of care Appreciates preparation, structure, and high standards in non-traditional settings This is not one-off or pop-up care. MOHW operates through planned, recurring program contracts with clear schedules, documentation standards, and follow-up expectations. Systems & tools already in place: Cavitron ultrasonic scaling Portable digital X-ray unit with sensors Curve Dental software for scheduling, charting, and documentation Denti.AI for periodontal charting and clinical notes, referral letters etc Organized portable equipment and workflows Clear clinical and administrative support We believe community care should be well-run, well-supported, and clinician-respecting . Compensation: Premium pay, discussed during interviews and based on provider experience, readiness, and ability to step confidently into program-based care . This part-time role ranges from 1–3 days per week , with opportunity to grow as contracts and programs expand. Schedules are coordinated in advance to support balance and consistency.
