Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, proficiency in dental assisting techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment before and after procedures. Take patient medical histories and update records accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic. Support dentistry efforts by providing compassionate care to patients. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and prosthodontics during patient interactions. Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure high-quality care. Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and experience: Proven experience in dental assisting, preferably in a clinical setting. Familiarity with general dentistry practices. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Proficiency with dental software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
