We are looking for a compassionate and self motivated Dental Hygienist with a positive, team-oriented attitude to join our work family. Responsibilities include: Greeting and ensuring patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Properly and effectively document medical history and dental history at each visit.. Conduct preliminary examinations including periodontal charting, initial caries notation, and oral cancer screening. Preliminary diagnostic workups regarding caries, gingivitis and periodontitis Perform Dental Prophylaxis Tx. plan and perform Scaling and Root planing when needed Take X-rays (Certification Required) Perform detailed charting and notes for doctors' examination Treatment plan and document findings using Dentrix software. Provide extensive patient education in oral hygiene. Sterilization and knowledge of CDC and OSHA regulations Monitor supplies and document when supplies need to be ordered Maintain, stock and clean assigned operatory, sterilization area, and work areas. Work as a team member to care for our patients. Skills In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations concerning dentistry Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly, team-oriented personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene VA Dental Hygiene License Please reach out and email us your CV if interested in learning more about our opportunity! **This position is available for a start date in late December or early January after our new operatory is up and running.
