Dental Assistant - Salthouse Smiles Pediatric Dentistry - St. Louis, MO

We are ecstatic to be growing our Salthouse Smiles family! This is a full-time position (32-40 hours/week) in Des Peres and Wildwood, MO! Duties - Assist in providing quality dental care to patients - Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient procedures - Take and develop dental radiographs (panos/bitewings/CBCT) - Assist with dental procedures including but not limited to: root canals, pulpotomies, crowns, extractions and resins. - Maintain accurate patient records and update patient charts in software - Schedule patient appointments and manage the front desk as needed - Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and patient safety - Understand patient's insurance and submit dental claims Qualifications - Previous experience as a dental assistant - Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and oral health procedures - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Ability to work well in a team environment and maintain positive relationships with patients Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
