This is an exciting position that allows for a dental assistant to travel with the Oral Surgery team and care for the most amazing patients! Oral Surgery Dental Assistant Qualifications:  MA Dental Assistant License  CDA or COMSA a plus but not required  Radiology Certification  CPR/BLS Oral Surgery Dental Assistant Responsibilities:  Under the direct supervision of the oral surgeon, assists with all surgical procedures and patients under local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, IV light/deep sedation, and general anesthesia.  Provides patients with pre/post-operative instructions regarding all procedures.  Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to; greeting and seating patients, taking vital signs, the taking/developing of radiographs, seeing that operatories are properly decontaminated and stocked with instruments, cleaning and sterilizing instruments after each procedure.
