Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) using EMR systems while maintaining aseptic techniques Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside assisting, ensuring smooth workflow in four-handed dentistry setups Review and update medical records accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and proper documentation review Monitor infection control protocols, including sterilization of instruments and maintaining a sterile environment Requirements Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current state certification or registration Proven experience in general dentistry or dental clinic settings with familiarity in dental terminology and medical coding Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly preferred Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience working with pediatric patients and understanding of pediatric dentistry principles is a plus Ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately and efficiently while maintaining patient comfort Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs Join us to make a difference in patients’ lives through expert dental hygiene care!
