Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and supporting overall oral health education. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental procedures, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques. Experience in pediatric dentistry and general dentistry is highly valued, along with proficiency in medical imaging, vital signs monitoring, and documentation review. The Registered Dental Hygienist will play a vital role in maintaining patient comfort and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current oral health status Assist with chairside procedures such as medical imaging, medical records management, and documentation review Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Support pediatric dentistry procedures with specialized techniques tailored for children Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Collaborate with dentists to develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs Utilize dental software, Dentrix, for accurate record keeping and documentation Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Monitor vital signs during appointments to ensure patient safety during procedures Assist in the management of medical coding and documentation for billing purposes Other tasks assigned Experience Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques Experience performing patient care activities including vital signs monitoring and chairside assisting Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical imaging, and medical records management Prior experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments is highly desirable Ability to work effectively within a team while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of patient care Pay: $40.00 - $43.00 per hour Expected hours: 28.0 â 34.0 per week Benefits: Employee assistance program Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location: In person
