Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Receptionist/Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Schedule appointments efficiently while managing the clinicâs calendar using dental office management software Collect payments, perform patient intake procedures, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness Maintain organized dental records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality Assist clinicians during procedures by preparing treatment rooms and help with dental procedures as needed Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide excellent customer service, and handle inquiries related to appointments Requirements Prior experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical coding including CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 codes Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms Familiarity with insurance verification processes and medical billing practices Ability to review documentation thoroughly and ensure accuracy in care plans and medical records Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10 key digits per minute is preferred Strong phone etiquette, organizational skills, and attention to detail in clerical tasks such as filing and data entry Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Clinic experience or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with dental terminology is essential Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards and health information management practices Join our team where your skills will make a real difference!
