Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our orthodontists. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Free Parking and close to public transportation for both offices! Duties Assist orthodontist during procedures, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout their treatment. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs as needed. Utilize 3D scanners for capturing accurate impressions of patients' teeth. Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Complete lab procedures as needed. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the dental clinic. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting or general dentistry is preferred. Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology is a plus. Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is advantageous. Understanding of human anatomy related to dental health. Ability to take vital signs accurately. Experience in a dental office or externship. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
